Bill Adams

Bill has been a practicing dispute resolution specialist since 1998, providing mediation services to government agencies, court systems, private and corporate clients. Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution registration number 1528.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Building Construction (1979) and was a design/build, general contractor and construction manager in commercial and industrial construction up until 1999.

As of 2010 he has mediated an excess of 1,500 cases.  Since 1999 Bill has been a mediator for the U.S. Postal Service REDRESS program involving EEOC complaints, and is also a mediator for the Equal Employement Opportunity Commission, Atlanta District.

Bill and his wife Wendy use the postal program as a model for workplace mediation and have taken the methods from that program and apply them to private workplace disputes before they escalate into lawsuits or formal EEO complaints.

Typical employment disputes include management/employee relations and workplace solutions meetings, some of which involve claims of discrimination.  Mediation works well as a method to resolve these types of situations as an early intervention or pre-EEO solution.

They also co-mediate divorce cases specializing in high conflict cases involving family owned business and cases with significant assets.

Bill has specialized training in the following areas:
General Civil (1998), Advanced Transformative Training (1999), Domestic (2002), Juvenile (2001), Deprivation (2002) Domestic Violence Training (2003) and is a Certified Trainer of Managing Workplace Conflict (2004). Is an approved General Mediation Trainer with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.
